On November 23, 2015, please join us for our first ever annual Hope in the City Luncheon in the City of Windsor.

This luncheon event, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918), provides an opportunity for attendees to network with like-minded community and business leaders, to learn about the support opportunities available and how they can collaborate with The Salvation Army in bringing vital services to people in need in Windsor and area.

Special guests include our keynote speaker, Ms. Jody Steinhauer. As President and CBO (Chief Bargain Officer) of the Bargains Group, Jody Steinhauer has mobilized her award winning discount wholesale and promotional products company to revolutionize the business landscape. A winner of the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, and a PROFIT W100 Recipient, Jody Steinhauer uses her network of resources and leveraged buying power to aid every company and not-for-profit agency that she touches to maximize their buying dollar. Pioneering her belief of “giving back makes good business sense”, Jody is a tireless not-for-profit advocate, and the founder of the national charity, Engage and Change, and its two annual initiatives, Project Winter Survival and Project Water.

Also joining us as Master of Ceremonies is Jim Crichton. He is Senior News Anchor at CTV in Windsor and a trusted face in local news.  Jim has been a member of both Halifax and Windsor Advisory Boards for The Salvation Army.

Why Should You Go?

Give Hope Today.

Like every social service provider in Canada, The Salvation Army is challenged to meet the needs of people who cannot do it for themselves. Whether it is addiction counselling, assistance with living costs, providing food and shelter, or support for individuals and families with health and welfare concerns, we need your help.

At our Hope in the City Luncheon we give an opportunity to learn about these programs to the leaders who can make a difference in the lives of the members of our community who have lost hope and dignity.

Your investment in the Hope in the City Luncheon will assist us with delivering:

  • Food bank and other family support programs through our Community and Family Services
  • Day care through our Eastwood Community Church
  • Shelter and homelessness prevention services at our Windsor Community & Rehabilitation Centre facility
  • Services, support, resources and guidance through our Men’s Addiction Support & Treatment (MAST) program

The Hope in the City Luncheon is the first step toward life-changing opportunities for the most vulnerable and marginalized in our community. Answer their call and join us in giving hope where it is needed most.
