Volunteer Positional Description

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE SALVATION ARMY COH

The Salvation Army COH responds to the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of those within our sphere of influence, leading to self-healing and regeneration through supportive, multi-faceted programs.

Volunteer Department: Community and Family Services

Position Description:  

  • Area of Responsibility: Food Bank
  • Specific Duties: Stocking shelves, packing food bags, sorting clothes, welcoming clients, and  assisting in duties as requested by the program supervisor or designate.
  • Qualifications: Person volunteering in this area must have a minimum of Grade 12 and should be, sincere, compassionate, sensitive to others, confidential and hold a high standard of integrity
  • Monday,  Tuesday, Thursday, Friday   9:00 am – 12:00 am  &  12:00 pm – 3:30 pm
    (As scheduled by the Volunteer Coordinator)

 

Supervision:    Volunteer Coordinator and The Director of Community and Family Services

This Positional Description will be reviewed by the supervisor on a regular basis.   Amendments can be made at any time when needed.
