Eligibility
No purchase necessary to enter or win. The Salvation Army Ontario Great Lakes Divisional Headquarters’ “Where in the world is Sally Ann” contest (the “contest”), which is sponsored by Blackburn Radio Inc. (the “sponsor”) is open only to legal residents of Ontario who are 18 or older at the time of entering the contest. The contest is not open to employees, officers and volunteers of The Salvation Army Ontario Great Lakes Divisional Headquarters and of Blackburn Radio Inc., or to family members of/persons domiciled with any of the above
Consent to collection of personal information
By participating in this contest, entrants consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of their personal information for the purpose of administering this contest. In addition, by accepting the Grand Prize, the selected Grand Prize entrant who is declared a winner consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her name, city of residence, voice, recorded video, statements and photographs by the sponsor and by The Salvation Army for publicity purposes related to the contest. Such use and disclosure may be made, without further notice or compensation in any media, including but not limited to the Internet. Personal information will not otherwise be used or disclosed without consent.
Contest period and draw date
The contest begins at 7PM Eastern Time on Friday, November 21, 2014, and closes at noon on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. The draw for the selected Grand Prize entrant will take place on December 24, 2014, after the contest closes.
To enter
No purchase necessary to enter or win. Take a picture of “Sally Ann”, The Salvation Army’s mascot, at events, kettles, toy drives, etc. and tweet it to @TSAWindsor using the hashtag #ISawSallyAnn,specifying what the location is. Pictures can also be submitted using the Blackburn Radio App. A picture tweeted or submitted via the Blackburn Radio App without the location where it was taken will not constitute a valid entry. Whether an entry is valid or not is a determination to be made by The Salvation Army in its sole discretion. The first valid entry from each location will be eligible to receive a prize (“location prize”). All valid entries will be entered into a random draw for one final prize (the “Grand Prize”). Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Only one entry from the same Twitter account, per location, will be entered for the purpose of the Grand Prize draw. Anyone found to use multiple Twitter accounts to enter the contest will be disqualified.
Prizes
Location prizes are various items that have an approximate retail value of $10. The number of location prizes will depend on whether at least one eligible entry is received or not for each location where Sally Ann appears. Location prizes are non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemption value. The Grand Prize is being offered by Blackburn Radio Inc., the sponsor. The Grand prize consists of:
1. a pair of tickets to see comedian Jim Gaffigan at Caesars Windsor on February 7th, 2015, and
2. one night stay and two buffet tickets at Caesars Windsor.
The retail value of the Grand Prize is approximately $500
All other costs associated with the Grand Prize are the responsibility of the selected entrant who is declared the winner of the Grand Prize. Such costs include, but are not limited to, gratuities, room service and in-room entertainment costs, and other transportation costs associated with the one-night stay in Windsor. Black-out dates may apply and they will be communicated to the selected entrant after s/he is declared the winner of the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize winner and/or his/her companion may be asked to provide a valid credit card upon checking in at the hotel. The Grand Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash-redemption value except at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.
Prize Administration (location prizes)
The Salvation Army will contact the potential location prize winners via Twitter or email and request that they send direct messages with their names and contact information. The Salvation Army will acknowledge receipt of those direct messages and forward the information regarding the process for claiming location prizes. If a potential location prize winner does not forward his/her name and contact information within 7 days of the initial request from The Salvation Army, or is not eligible to participate in the contest, or incorrectly answers, unaided, the mathematical, time-limited, skill-testing question, as determined by The Salvation Army, or declines the prize, or does not comply with the contest rules, or fails to retrieve the prize within 30 days, then the location prize will be forfeited.
Prize Administration (Grand Prize)
The Salvation Army will contact the selected Grand Prize entrant via Twitter or email and request that s/he send a direct message with her/his name and contact information. The Salvation Army will acknowledge receipt of that message. If a selected Grand Prize entrant does not forward his/her name and contact information within 7 days of the initial request from The Salvation Army, the sponsor may select at random, at the sponsor’s sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate Grand Prize entrant from among remaining eligible entries. Once a selected Grand Prize entrant provides his/her name and contact information, arrangements will be made for a telephone conversation at a mutually agreeable time for the mathematical, time-limited, skill-testing question to be administered. In order to be declared a winner, the selected Grand Prize entrant will be required to sign and return to The Salvation Army a duly completed release form by the date specified on the form, also confirming that s/he accepts the Grand Prize as awarded, is eligible to participate in the contest, and will comply with the official contest rules. If the selected Grand Prize entrant incorrectly answers the mathematical, time-limited, skill-testing question, as determined by The Salvation Army, does not return the release described above, is not eligible to participate in the contest, does not comply with the rules OR declines the prize, then the Grand Prize will be forfeited. At the sponsor’s sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate Grand Prize entrant will be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible entries, subject to the contest rules.
The Salvation Army and the sponsor reserve the right to terminate or suspend this contest or to amend the contest rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice.
The Salvation Army and the sponsor will not be responsible for lost, incomplete or inaccurate entries, and all such entries are void.
The Salvation Army and the sponsor assume no responsibility for technical malfunctions, human or technical error lost or delayed communications or any combination thereof.
This contest is subject to all federal, provincial, municipal and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
