Community & Family Services

 

15,020 warm meals were served to those within the community who joined us for our Community Dinner.

In 2019 1323 regular volunteers generously donated their time, giving us 2615 hours of work.

Our Christmas Kettle Campaign was supported by over 240 volunteers, equaling over 3790 hours of work.

In 2019 we helped over 10,884 people within our Food Bank and Material Assistance programs, making 485 referrals for housing, education, and other programs in the City of Windsor.

1266 children in the community received toys, and 428 families received food support through our Christmas Assistance Program.

Our Life Enrichment Programs had 369 in attendance learning transferable  skills through our cooking and sewing classes, while increasing their social circles.

We send 10 kids each year, who otherwise could not afford a vacation, to an adventure camp for 1 week.

Church

Spiritual Care

 

325 individuals engaged with our Chaplain through counselling sessions equaling 330 hours of support in areas such as addictions, mental health, and personal well being.

Members of the community and service users joined us for Bible Study with 145 individuals being reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Through our Ex Offender Support Program we were able to assist and offer spiritual support to 206 people.

178 individuals from the community and our service users participated in worship services.

Pathway of Hope

 

Since the launch of this program in October 2019, we have 4 families/individuals enrolled in this program, working with our Outreach Program Manager to develop goals as they move forward on their pathway to success.

Housing Services

 

Permanent housing was secured for 107 residents providing them with a move-in care package from our Place of My Own Program.   

Shelter

Emergency Shelter Services

 

We provided a safe and warm place for 801 residents to sleep, 376 were unique.

28,470 meals were served to our  in-house guests. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner each day of the year to our residents.

Since the start of this program on November 12th 2019, we supplied 264 additional people a warm, dry and safe place to sleep as well as a nutritious breakfast the following morning through our Out of the Cold Program.  This program is offered to all individuals with specified areas for all youth aged 16 – 24. This program extends to March 31st 2020.
